Micro-Needling

What is Micro-Needling?

Micro-Needling is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of the skin’s appearance. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with the appearance of softer fine lines, wrinkles and scars. Micro-Needling is even more effective when combined with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) which uses your body’s own healing ability to enhance and speed recovery time.

What is PRP (Platlet-Rich Plasma)?

A procedure that has been used successfully for years to heal sports injuries is now becoming the treatment of choice by women and men to improve the appearance of wrinkles, scars, sun damage, dark circles under the eyes and even hair loss restoration!

The treatment, Platelet-Rich Plasma, is gaining in popularity for the same reasons athletes chose it: because of its organic nature and because it works. It uses plasma taken from the patient’s own blood instead of chemicals injected into the body. The possibility of side effects is practically nonexistent because the body is unlikely to reject its own blood.
